THE KEY ACTIVES

CERAMIDES | BARRIER LIPID REPLENISHMENT

Ceramide NP · Ceramide AP · Ceramide EOP · Ceramide AS · Ceramide NG

Ceramides are naturally occurring lipids found between the cells of the outermost skin layer. Together with cholesterol and fatty acids, they are essential components of the skin’s protective lipid matrix, which helps limit moisture loss. CERAFX contains five individually named ceramides with different molecular structures. They are selected to complement the skin’s lipid environment and provide barrier focused conditioning for skin that feels dry, rough or depleted.

CERAMOSIDES™ HP | COMPLEX BARRIER LIPIDS

Glycosphingolipids · Glycolipids

Ceramosides™ HP is a plant derived lipid complex that supplies glycosphingolipids and glycolipids. These are more complex lipid families, including ceramide related structures, which complement the five separately declared ceramides. They broaden CERAFX’s lipid system and contribute to skin conditioning and a smoother, softer feel. To be precise, the INCI identifies five individual ceramides plus these two additional lipid categories, rather than seven individually named ceramides.

CHOLESTEROL | SKIN IDENTICAL LIPID SUPPORT

Cholesterol

Cholesterol is one of the principal lipids naturally present alongside ceramides in the skin barrier. It has a different function from water binding moisturisers: it contributes to the lipid environment that helps skin retain moisture. In CERAFX, Cholesterol works as part of the wider ceramide, sterol and emollient system, making lipid care a central feature of the formula.

PHYTOSTEROLS & LECITHIN | LIPID CONDITIONING

Phytosterols · Beta-Sitosterol · Phytosteryl Macadamiate · Hydrogenated Lecithin

Phytosterols and Beta-Sitosterol are plant derived sterols selected for skin conditioning and lipid support. Phytosteryl Macadamiate is a sterol ester that helps improve suppleness and softness. Hydrogenated Lecithin is a phospholipid based ingredient with a role in the skin compatible lipid system and the cream’s structure. These components add to CERAFX’s broader approach to dry skin rather than simply adding a thick surface coating.

L22® | SKIN SURFACE LIPID MIMETIC

Jojoba Oil/Macadamia Seed Oil Esters · Squalene · Phytosteryl Macadamiate · Phytosterols · Tocopherol

L22® is a defined blend of plant derived esters, squalene, sterols and sterol esters. It was developed to resemble the relative composition of lipids found on the surface of healthy young adult skin. Its role in CERAFX is to improve skin conditioning, suppleness and the feel of dryness. Unlike the five ceramides, L22® mainly mimics the mixture of surface lipids. It does not mean that the product restores skin to a particular biological age.

ECTOIN® | HYDRATION & SKIN STRESS SUPPORT

Ectoin

Ectoin is an extremolyte, a naturally occurring molecule known for its strong interactions with water. In CERAFX, it complements the lipid system by supporting hydration, moisture barrier care and comfort when skin feels dry or easily stressed. While ceramides and cholesterol provide lipid focused care, Ectoin focuses on the conditions needed to maintain comfortable hydration.

AQUAXYL™ | ADVANCED HYDRATION TECHNOLOGY

Xylitylglucoside · Anhydroxylitol · Xylitol

Aquaxyl™ is a sugar derived moisturising complex designed to support three aspects of the skin’s natural water balance: helping maintain the moisture barrier, supporting water reserves and improving water distribution within the epidermis. In CERAFX, Aquaxyl™ works alongside Ectoin and Panthenol to complement the lipid rich base with active hydration. Aquaxyl™ addresses water balance; the ceramides, cholesterol and emollients address the lipid side of dry skin care.

TECA® CENTELLA COMPLEX | SOOTHING & SKIN CONDITIONING

Asiaticoside · Madecassic Acid · Asiatic Acid

TECA® is a purified, standardised fraction of Centella asiatica containing three characteristic triterpenes. It is not an unspecified whole plant extract. These selected constituents are included for soothing and skin conditioning care, particularly relevant when dryness is accompanied by tightness or discomfort. TECA® complements Ectoin, Bisabolol, Allantoin and Panthenol in a formula developed for the daily comfort of dry and sensitive feeling skin.

BLUSH OLÉOACTIF® | REDNESS APPEARANCE & SKIN COMFORT

Polygonum Tinctorium Leaf Extract · Brassica Campestris Seed Oil

BLUSH Oléoactif® is a lipophilic botanical active derived from Persicaria tinctoria, also known in the ingredient declaration as Polygonum tinctorium. Its supplier has studied the ingredient for skin comfort and the visible appearance of redness. In CERAFX, it is included as a botanical skin conditioning active for skin that can look stressed or feel uncomfortable. The raw material is naturally vivid pink and contributes to the cream’s pink colour.

ADDITIONAL SKIN COMFORT ACTIVES

PANTHENOL | MOISTURE & COMFORT

Panthenol

Provitamin B5 helps maintain skin hydration and supports a more comfortable feel when skin is dry or tight.

BISABOLOL | SOOTHING CARE

Bisabolol

A skin conditioning ingredient selected for its soothing properties and its suitability for comfort focused skincare.

ALLANTOIN | SKIN SOFTENING & COMFORT

Allantoin

Helps soften rough feeling skin and contributes to a smoother, more comfortable finish.

TOCOPHEROL & ORYZANOL | ANTIOXIDANT SUPPORT

Tocopherol · Oryzanol

Tocopherol (vitamin E) and Oryzanol are antioxidant ingredients that complement the lipid rich formula. These antioxidants complement the formula’s wider care for skin exposed to everyday environmental conditions.

THE RICH EMOLLIENT SYSTEM

Squalane, Mango Seed Butter, Meadowfoam Estolide, Jojoba Esters and Jojoba/Macadamia Oil Esters provide the cream’s richer, cushioned texture. Brassica Campestris Seed Oil and Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride also contribute to softness and smooth spreading. Together, they help improve the feel of roughness and dryness and give CERAFX a noticeably richer texture than HYDRALITE.

HOW THE FORMULA WORKS

REPLENISH: Five named ceramides + two additional from Ceramosides™ HP, Cholesterol, Phytosterols and Hydrogenated Lecithin provide the core lipid focused system.

MIMIC & CONDITION: L22®, Squalane, Meadowfoam Estolide, Jojoba Esters and Mango Seed Butter soften and condition dry skin.

HYDRATE: Aquaxyl™, Ectoin® and Panthenol are the featured hydration actives, supported by conventional water binding ingredients.

COMFORT: TECA®, BLUSH Oléoactif®, Bisabolol and Allantoin add complementary soothing and skin conditioning care.

ANTIOXIDANT CARE: Tocopherol and Oryzanol contribute selected antioxidant ingredients to the formula.

WHAT TO EXPECT

CERAFX is designed for a richer moisturising experience. With regular use, dry skin can feel softer, smoother, more supple and less tight. Its lipid rich texture offers a cushioned finish while Aquaxyl™, Ectoin® and Panthenol add hydration focused care. The finish is designed to feel cushioned and comfortable rather than simply coated.

WHO IS CERAFX FOR?

DRY OR VERY DRY SKIN: for daily moisturising care with a stronger emphasis on lipids and comfort.

MATURE SKIN: particularly when it feels drier, rougher or less supple and benefits from a richer texture.

DEHYDRATED SKIN: when insufficient water is accompanied by dryness, tightness or a preference for a richer cream.

SENSITIVE FEELING SKIN: when dryness and discomfort are priorities, with ingredients chosen for soothing care. Individual tolerance still varies.

NORMAL SKIN: for anyone who prefers a richer moisturiser, particularly in colder or drier conditions.

COMBINATION OR OILY SKIN: CERAFX can be used if a rich cream is preferred, but HYDRALITE is usually the lighter choice.

HOW TO USE

Apply 1-2 pumps to a clean skin in the morning and/or evening. Use after lighter water based serums or targeted treatments. For very dry skin, apply to slightly damp skin or use over a suitable hydrating serum. In the morning, finish with a separate broad spectrum sunscreen. Avoid direct contact with eyes and discontinue use if irritation occurs.

STILL NOT SURE?

Does CERAFX contain seven ceramides?

The INCI lists five individual ceramides: NP, AP, EOP, AS and NG. CERAFX also contains Ceramosides™ HP, whose INCI components are Glycosphingolipids and Glycolipids. These additional complex lipids are plant ceramides.

What is the difference between ceramides, cholesterol and Aquaxyl™?

Ceramides and cholesterol are skin lipids that form part of the barrier’s lipid matrix. Aquaxyl™ is a moisturising sugar complex selected to support water balance. CERAFX combines both approaches because dry skin often benefits from hydration as well as lipid conditioning.

What is L22® and how is it different from ceramides?

L22® is a plant derived blend that mimics the composition of skin surface lipids, helping improve suppleness and softness. Ceramides are key lipids of the barrier between cells in the outer skin layer. They are complementary rather than interchangeable.

Why is CERAFX pink?

BLUSH Oléoactif®, which contains Polygonum Tinctorium Leaf Extract, is naturally vivid pink and contributes to the colour of the formula. Natural colour intensity may vary.

Can CERAFX help skin that looks red or feels sensitive?

The formula includes TECA®, Ectoin®, Bisabolol, Allantoin and BLUSH Oléoactif® for soothing and skin conditioning care. These ingredients are relevant to comfort and the appearance of stressed skin, but CERAFX is not a treatment for rosacea, eczema or another medical skin condition.

Is CERAFX fragrance free?

The supplied ingredient list does not contain Parfum or an essential oil added for scent. It does list Benzyl Alcohol, which has several possible cosmetic functions and can matter to people with a specific sensitivity. If your skin reacts easily, patch test before regular use.

Is CERAFX suitable for acne prone or very oily skin?

It is a rich moisturising cream and may feel too substantial for someone who prefers very light textures. For oily or blemish prone skin, HYDRALITE is generally the lighter choice.

Can I use CERAFX with retinoids, vitamin C or exfoliating acids?

Yes. It can be the moisturising step in a routine that contains these treatments, depending on personal tolerance. Follow the directions for the treatment product and adjust frequency if skin becomes irritated.

Do I still need a facial oil or a sunscreen?

The rich lipid system may provide enough conditioning for many people without a separate facial oil, depending on skin preference. CERAFX does not contain a stated SPF and does not replace sunscreen.

CERAFX or HYDRALITE?

Choose CERAFX when dry skin, richer lipid replenishment and a cushioned texture are the priority. Choose HYDRALITE when you prefer a lightweight moisturising fluid, particularly for normal, combination or oily skin. Both feature Ectoin®, Aquaxyl™ and TECA®, but their lipid systems and textures are different.
